Third Front -- A curse to the nation

India in 1947 and today has seen changes to a very great extant. With the growth of the nation the ideas and thoughts of the people have also grown. When everything is going on with an ideal reference point, why the politics of this country taking a back track.

Congress itself as a single largest party has ruled this country for years, in the 1947 general elections it had 447 seats of the 524 and the parties opposing congress were Socialist, Janasangh and the communist. These were the 3 major ones and 2 or 3 minor parties. What we could see here is the concept of regional parties was still not born. When the nation wanted a change from the Congress rule it had a right option of Janasangh turned Janata Party. When there is a stable and a single party having clear majority it can think of executing in the way it sees the development to happen. Until congress was in power it had pledged to take back this nation 50 years by doing innumerable mistakes like the history books were changed and started appreciating the Muslim rulers who have swept away this country and did not even bring people like Chandrashekhar azad, Savarkar, bhagat singh and many such hero’s into limelight. This is a very small point that we see, many such atrocious things have been done by Congress enjoying full power alone. People are shown the photos of gahndiji, ambedkar even today to grab votes. Staying as a single party enjoying full majority rather than focusing on the growth of the nation, it started with caste politics, least attention to southern states, upholding the minorities for no reason, Corruption and hereditary politics which paved a huge way for the growth of the regional parties. For one such mistake made by a party the whole of this nation has to suffer for years and on.

Janata party which was a tough competitor to the congress also broke itself into 101 small parties; every member of the janata party started his own. Of which the BJP sustained to grab the position of a national party credibility. Thanks to Murali Manohar Joshi for his yatra which was followed by Advaniji’s ratha yatra which made them grow from a small party which had 2 members in the parliament to the stage of being an alternative to congress and did rule the country.

In South NTR with his Telugu Desam grew against the congress in Andhra, also Anna dorai in TN, and communism undoubtedly in Kerala. People of Karnataka always wanted to be on par with national politics hence Janata Dal which ruled it also could not sustain to continue its existence. Anna dorai’s party broke into DMK and AIADMK which come to power on an alternative basis. Apart from this there are Vaiko’s MDMK, PMK and many to name. North had all the small factions of the janata party which started fighting against each other for no reason. This was alone too much to bare but the rebels from congress with Sonia being brought in did not keep quite, each of them started a party by their own. Sharad pawar’s NCP, Mamata’s Trinamool congress, and Moopnars congress to add it from south. Orissa with Biju’s Janata party, UP with Mayawati’s BSP and Mulayam’s SP with Jorge’s Samata party struggling for its existence there somehow made it in Bihar. This did not end, the Hindu sanghatana’s started contributing to this like the Shiva sena in Maharashtra, luckly the VHP the RSS and the Bhajrang dal did not come out with a new initiative but supported the BJP. Before the Hindus started the Muslims had already come up with parties like MWM, PDP, NC, Muslim league and many to name. I am happy that Christians, Buddhist and Jains did not start their own.

We can almost see 2-3 parties easily in one state and India is a country of 28 such states. Imagine the number of parties that contest elections every time. It is high time that Mrs Sonia and Mr. Advaniji think to enrich their parties with more values and performance. Every time the election dates are announced we hear the third front being made with all the regional parties coming together. But everyone knows that all of these together also cannot win more than Congress or BJP. Forget them winning and coming into power, they collide with the same whom they would have fought against. Many start saying the laws of equvi-distance being maintained with congress and BJP but finally join hands for their betterment but not for stable governance. These small regional parties when do not have an ability to win and succeed should not raise voices saying it would give an optimal solution to this country. Because these small regional parties join hands with the major ones in forming the government, the progress is halted, every time a new law to be tabled, all these small parties have to be convinced and then passed. Many of them fail because one of the others candidate would have not supported this. The development is going for a toss. Any good initiative is thought, it would be brought down by these small parties. This is not just what they do, every bloody year they review their ties with the major party which they are allied to. People like Deve gowda who is a power hungry idiot speaks dirty about the congress or BJP front and tries for a back gate alliance with them. Until these small parties enjoy their power in making or breaking the governments, India cannot reach to the dream of Dr. Kalam. Forget his dream it cannot stand itself as a politically strong country which would give a tough reply to all the surrounding neighbous just waiting like dogs to grab the pieces available to them.
Until Mayavati, Mulayam, Deve gowda and many such third rate shameless politicians are not shown their way home the politics of this country and the growth linked to it will always stand handicapped.

Conversion - Ban it

The search of truth has been going on time immemorial. Whether it is from the oldest ever known religion the Vedic cult or Islam, or Christianity or Jainism or Buddhism or any other that you name. Each of them adhering to their own beliefs, thoughts and experiences. Neither of those who have had the very taste of this has shared it with others nor blame its co-existents. But people who pretend knowing all or realized create havoc. They are totally incapable of proving their belief’s and also cannot accept the others. Just compare the two things put here, both stands as a repelling poles keeping its distance ever maintained and never go along.

How foolishly people have blamed Hinduism as a narrow religion ever seen. Being narrow can any religion give so much liberty as we all enjoy today or done previously. Every individual was given a right to express, share, invent and contribute to the same. Have we ever seen this in any religion? Keeping caste system on the foreground of their message, the other religions have tried curbing it since ages. Today with a secular mask being put on their faces the politicians are trying to be over generous in making the other religions utilize the best time to market themselves and grab as many heads to their count.

This country has undergone so many barbarous attacks, from Islam or Christianity. History if read apart from the curriculum text books we clearly get to know that there were some kingdoms which arouse just to protect this culture and heritage. Great saints like vidhyaranya have boosted the morale of people by bringing back the lost or the culture which was on the verge of being extinct. They have always done so not to revert back with force in a reply but to show that with repetitive attacks or assaults being made on us we still stand with full pride with out harming anybody like the gopuram or the front entrance of the Srirangam temple that was attacked innumerable times and destroyed but today being the tallest of all. Earlier these attacks were for wealth but now it’s for the conversion. How complimentary these attacks are earlier it was by force and now by mercy.

As past cannot hide itself from us, we all know how cruel Islam and Christianity were. There were so many people tortured to death for speaking against this. Forget Islam, people did not even have right to give a commentary on the holy Quran which they had to blindly accept even if their true conscious says that it would have been good if something were to be like this. This was the blind belief followed from ages till date. Similarly with Christians, a law was made by the Pope that any body can commit mistakes by talking low on the religion but once pay fine to the church can wash away all their sins. This was the kind of business that was started. People who protested this later called themselves Protestants who always condemned the pope’s supremacy and came out as a separate group.

Why I had to tell these points is today we stand with a greatest challenge in front of us to face, that is the conversion that others are enforcing on us. We do not see in history that this was happening when Buddhism or Jainism co-existed in this country. But why today. Even earlier there were a lot of debates that would happen between religions and who ever loses, was not converting himself to the opponent’s religion but would accept the ability of his opponent and surrender himself to the truth which is more than what he had thought. There were thousands of such debates that we come across in the history but no example of conversion. See the simplicity of our people, Kumarily Bhattacharya a great teacher of Mimamsa shastra joined Buddhism to know what it was and when he was thrown out of Buddhism because he was a Hindu, he had a debate with is Buddhist guru and won over him. He did not celebrate his victory rather regretted saying he has hurt his Buddhist mentor and hence he scarifies himself by immolation. Or Achyuta prajna the guru of Madhwachary followed his student’s philosophy and surrenderd himself to his student, this clearly shows the acceptance that there is something more than an individual knows and if found correct would be accepted by them. But no force or mass attack. John Woodroffe says the biggest sin of Hinduism is still accepting Hindus who are truly non practitioners. But I feel that is the broadmindedness what we have. Also look at the things Christians are targeting, either food, clothes or shelter the basic needs of an individual. If these are met he can then think of the philosophy or religion. They are enchasing such things and drawing people to them. Vivekananda says “Do not talk philosophy to a hungry person” all that he needs is a plate of meal; don’t give him philosophy without giving the basic ones. This is the most atrocious way of attracting people to their religion. What would they really get by doing this, “realization” which remains at the same distance that it previously stood or “happiness” that is again linked with realization. Then what would be the secret behind this, nothing but the material benefits what these pastors or the bishops enjoy.

Hindus please realize that is high time we revert back. Try helping people. Utilize the age and strength for the service of mankind. It is time to revisit our ideas and get geared to protect ourselves. Let’s not fight with others, let’s not enforce others, lets not encash on others pains, rather work for its betterment. A religion which has always passed a message of universal brotherliness can never do cruel things as other did. Let’s be broad enough to wipe away the sins of others, and show others we can do what we want. For this the stepping stone would be to know more about our religion, our culture or what we call introspection. Many feel its nothing but myth and darkness, but stare the darkness you can see the eyes of knowledge opening up there. It is our duty to know our epics, our Vedas our Upanishads rather than calling it non-sense. Today people from Germany, France, Russia and many other countries are getting fascinated towards geeta and Upanishads and we shamelessly with no self respect call it to be a myth. One life would not be sufficient to attain knowledge, when such is the case I feel pity for people who are biased in their opinion and held up with pseudo secular ideas letting themselves down for it. If conversion goes at this rate very soon we need to see our bharatanatyam being dead our music being dead, our Vedas being dead, our temples demolished and cross kept on everything saying “Om Yesuve namaha”. How shamelessly they put this on churches today, which they have literally robbed from this religion. Do not make all our traditions and culture to be kept as mummies of Egypt in some museum.

Explore the real hidden truth in this religion like how many are doing it, only then you would really appreciate my pain in putting this article here. I would be the first to vote for the government that would bring in a law to ban conversion. Live and let live should be the motto of Christians hence forth which Hindus have accepted since ages.
